Zinc pot basics 1
The current status of the application of zinc pot,
The molten zinc bath used in the hot-dip galvanizing process is commonly referred to as a "zinc pot."
Zinc pot is one of the main equipment in hot dip galvanizing production. Its main function is to melt the zinc ingot to ensure the sufficient supply of zinc liquid when the workpiece is immersed in zinc, and to continuously supply heat to the zinc liquid.
The zinc pot was originally made of cast iron and later welded with low carbon steel. It is widely used in the production of hot-dip galvanizing and other hot-dip galvanizing products for steel workpieces.
The zinc pots currently used in the hot-dip galvanizing process are mostly welded by steel plates. The zinc pot welded by steel plate is suitable for heating by various heat sources, and is easy to use and maintain. It is suitable for use in hot-dip galvanizing production lines of large steel workpieces.
The quality of hot-dip galvanizing and the production efficiency are closely related to the technical level of hot-dip galvanizing process and the life of zinc pot. If the zinc pot erodes too quickly, causing premature damage or even perforation and leakage of zinc, the direct economic loss caused by the zinc pan, and the indirect economic loss caused by the shutdown are large.
Therefore, improving the service life of zinc pots is a matter of great concern in the industry!
